A Beef With Bieber?

From reports of his recent break up with Selena Gomez to stories about lots to kill him, it would seem, Bieber is generating a lot of negative attention of late.

The Canadian rose to fame after talent manager Scooter Braun came across Bieber’s YouTube video. A year after, Justin Bieber’s extended play, “My World” was released. The said EP allowed Bieber to become a certified platinum hitmaker. It also helped that the following year, Bieber’s “Baby” became a worldwide phenomenon.

As an artist, Justin Bieber has received a number of accolades including Artist of the Year during both the 2010 American Music Awards and the 2012 American Music Awards. He also went on and became nominated for the Best New Artist as well as for the Best Pop Vocal Album during the 53rd Grammy Awards. As of 2012, he has sold more than 15 million album copies and is considered to be one of the most powerful celebrities around the world. Unfortunately, popularity always comes with a price.

With all the attention, however, Bieber seems to be becoming more and more notorious rather than setting the right example. For one, he has just recently been”castigated” online by thousands of the boxing star Manny Pacquiao’s fans. The well-known Filipino boxer recently lost his fourth match with Juan Manual Marquez during the 6th round in an astonishing knockout. Within a few hours, Bieber had posted several photoshopped pictures of Pacman, as the boxer is fondly known by his countrymen as well as his fans. One had the young Simba urging him to wake up while the other one had the boxer superimposed on an old MJ picture in order to make it seem like he is doing “The Lean”. This came just a year after Bieber was caught on video being disrespectful to an airport security guard who asked for the pop star’s autograph.

The story does not end there. Bieber, instead of apologizing, pointed out that the beliebers, a name that came to be used to refer to his loyal fans, would not leave his side simply because of his boxing opinion.

It also does not help that, just recently, plots about castrating and then killing him have surfaced which had led to the arrest of an ex-convict who, ironically, seems to have an infatuation with Bieber as evidence by his having a tattoo of the pop star on his leg. The ex-convict’s name is Dana Martin. Martin had already admitted to persuading a fellow ex-con as well as the latter’s nephew to kill the teen sensation along with his bodyguard. The said plot came at the heel of the star’s online “beef” with Beliebers who were also fans of the boxing legend.

This is not the first time that Justin Bieber had been involved in nasty publicity having been also in the news of late for wearing overalls during a courtesy call with the Canadian Prime Minister.
