The first American Idol grand winner, Kelly Clarkson, is up on the stage again to rock the concert halls. The emerging pop star is set to perform on a concert around the US this year. The tour will start on July 04, to October 06, 2013. Kelly Clarkson became even more famous for her chart-topping singles such as “Breakaway”, “Since U Been Gone”, “Because of You” and “Behind these Hazel Eyes”. These singles all came from her second album entitled “Breakaway” which was launched two years after she won American Idol in 2002.
Similar to a lot of popular singers, Kelly Clarkson never had it easy in life. There was once in her life when her family struggled financially after her parents got divorced. Her keen interest in music served instrumental in helping her recover from this unfortunate event, which paid off eventually. Clarkson was first discovered by a choir teacher during her middle school years at Pauline Hughes Middle School in Texas. As she was singing in the hallway, a choir teacher overheard her voice and recruited her to become part of the school’s choir group. Although Clarkson didn’t have any formal voice lessons at that time, this never stopped her from participating in a number of musical plays in the school she had transferred to. She played a number of lead roles like in Brigadoon, Annie Get Your Gun and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Due to her continued singing performance, she was offered a full scholarship to several universities like the prestigious Berklee College of Music. However, she decided to decline these offers and pursue her amateur singing career somewhere else.
Before Clarkson’s American Idol stint, she was offered a number of jobs related to music like recording music materials, market record labels and support some demos financially. Clarkson’s optimism about her future music career and her hope that something better would come along inspired her to try her luck in Los Angeles, CA. However, as if it wasn’t her time yet to stardom, a series of unfortunate events happened that made her go back to Burleson. This town was where Kelly Clarkson worked as a waitress in a comedy bar, but soon found her way to join American Idol. Who would have forgotten her splendid, spine-chilling rendition of “A Moment like This”? This performance number was her winning piece, so she became the crowd and judges’ favorite from then on.
Today, Kelly Clarkson has a total of five (5) albums starting from 2003 to 2011, a Grammy award, and received several award nominations in the US. Her upcoming tours will likely cover her latest singles from her 2011 album entitled “Stronger”. Relive the original American Idol spirit with Kelly Clarkson in her upcoming tours, while singing with her songs like “Dark Side”, “(What doesn’t Kill You) Stronger” and “People Like Us”. Catch her live at Utah, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, Miami, Ontario, Virginia, New Caledonia, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Washington and California.
