The two singles helped propel the album towards mainstream success, and it even became the best-selling album of 2009. As an accompaniment to her wildly successful album, Swift also went tour. The success of the album was measured not only by record selling numbers, as it also managed to gain recognition from award-giving bodies. It earned four Grammy Awards altogether, and it also served as a great springboard for more success in the future for Swift. She would follow that album with two more that also topped the sales charts. “Speak now” and “Red” tallied well over a million sales each within their first few days of being released. It was an unprecedented mark for a singer with country roots.

Swift’s ability to channel her emotions through song has been her most memorable quality. The relatable quality of her songs has endeared her to millions of listeners all over the world. Her fame has even resulted in more opportunities within the entertainment industry. She has appeared on various television shows and she has even had feature roles in movies. The sky is the limit for Swift, and there only seems to be more good fortune in store for the 23 year old artist.
