Its official, owners of Chicago Bulls tickets would be watching their team in the playoffs.
Chicago Bulls became the first team to clinch a playoff berth after winning their 40thgame against the Toronto Raptors. They did this milestone for the season without reigning Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose, who is still nursing a groin injury. Rose already missed the past six games of Chicago and he’ll likely miss another one against the Denver Nuggets on March 26. Rose is continuing his rehabilitation from the injury, which was a little more serious than initially thought.

Rose told that he is feeling way better than before. He also mentioned that his groin was bleeding when the injury occurred during a March 12 game against the New York Knicks. At this point, the groin is already healed according to the former first overall pick. “It’s just scar tissue and it’s pretty hard trying to get that to move around, it’s going to take little time,” Rose said.
During the team’s light practice on March 25, coach Tom Thibodeau told that the 23-year-old all-star has not done much running. He said, though, that Rose is already in the next phase of rehabilitation wherein their superstar is already running on a treadmill.
The three-time all-star has already missed 16 games for the season due to various injuries, which includes turf toe and back spams. Despite the absence of Rose from the team, his teammates have stepped up to fill in the void left by their star point guard. Chicagois 12-4 with Rose out in the lineup.

Among those who have stepped up in Rose’s absence are Carlos Boozer, John Lucas III, and fellow 2012 all-star Luol Deng. Boozer, considered as major disappointment in his stint with the Bulls, has shown lately why he was a two-time all-star with the Utah Jazz before. In the past six games that Rose was out, Boozer has stepped up averaging 15.17 points, 9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. The unheralded Lucas, meanwhile, has shown that he really belongs in the league. In the game against the Miami Heat, the first game that Rose missed due to the recent injury, Lucas exploded for 24 points. In the past six games, he has averaged 12.5 points per game. Deng, who has his own injury problems, has scored in double figures in all but one game that Rose missed due to the groin injury. In that span, Deng has averaged 15 points and 6.7 rebounds.
According to Rose, he has not been informed by the team’s medical staff about his possible return date. Chicago’s medical staff told that there is no definite time period as to when the youngest MVP would be seen again by the owners of Chicago Bulls tickets.
Chicago has 16 games remaining on their schedule, with nine of those games at home wherein they are 20-4. The Bulls is really good at home but they are equally good on the road with a 20-6 record. Their road record tops the league.
