Benn Brothers of Dallas Stars Now Up For A tandem Fight against Detroit Red Wings

Texas Stars player Jordie Benn has been recalled from the AHL to play for the Dallas Stars this Tuesday January 3, 2012 for the National Hockey League game against the Detroit Red Wings. Benn was more than ecstatic to move out to the bigger range and play alongside two-year younger brother Jamie Benn for the win!

Jordie Benn is the 24-year old defenseman of Texas Stars has a track record of posting 7-8-15 solid numbers in 31 Cedar Park game. Jordie Benn has dreamt of playing for NHL for a long time and people are betting that it is going to be one heck of a good game seeing the hockey star brothers in tandem against the Detroit Red Wings. According to Jordie, ““I want to come in here, just play a simple game. It’s just pretty crazy being here. I think my parents are going to be in the stands. “

Meanwhile, Jamie Benn is just as eager as Jordie to play this Tuesday and is fuelled in seeing his older brother join the club. Jamie admits that he might be more excited that his brother to see both of them playing in the same field, in the same team and in the same high spirits of bringing home the bacon.

Although equally talented, what amuses people about the Benn brothers is that they are very much different when it comes to their personalities. Jamie, the younger, is considered to be a bit shy, quiet and timid whereas Jordie is the calm and outgoing guy.

It has been a very long time since the brother tandem took place in the 2006-2007 as junior-level players for the Victoria grizzlies where they played for their hometown British Columbia. They played for a full year then, and the excitement is expected to be doubled now that the Benn combination is back.

The NHL reunion of the Benn brothers took a very long time. As expected, older brothers teach younger ones on how to do stuff. But since Jamie has been with the Dallas Stars for several years, he will be the one guiding his brother Jordie about the new team, new atmosphere and new challenge to behold.

Spectators are already anticipating of what is supposed to be a perfect combination between Jamie, an offensive player and Jordie, a defenseman. Two talented and athletic brothers taking the scene will surely be a wild hit among the crowd.

All in all, this is a dream come true for both Jamie and Jordie. Jamie has long been wanting to skate alongside his big brother on the ice, and Jordie deserves the big opportunity for being one of the asset player of Texas Stars and a versatile player who is well-rounded and one of the best in Cedar Park.
